Both, to be honest. The generation starts from your photo and keeps your features, so it really is your face, but it smooths things out: clearer skin, better light. The right rule: pick the photo your best friend would approve with a “yep, that’s you”, not the one you like most.
Is it honest to put a generated photo on my LinkedIn?+
The line isn’t between retouched and not retouched, it’s between showing yourself at your best and misleading people. The test is simple: if the person on the other side recognises you on a video call or in an interview, you’re on the right side. Changing your face, your build or your age by ten years: no. Wearing a clean shirt against a tidy background: yes.
What exactly should I send?+

What happens to my photo?+

Is it different from a filter or retouching?+
